How can we help?

11 answers

What is a money club?

A group that agrees to pay in the same amount on a regular rhythm — weekly, monthly or quarterly. Each cycle, the whole pot goes to one member, in turn, until everyone has had theirs. You may know it as mukando, a round, a ROSCA or a stokvel. Money Club runs it for you and keeps the record.

How is the payout order decided?

Every member has a turn number, shown to the whole club on the club page next to the payout schedule. The pot goes to whoever’s turn it is. Turn numbers are fixed once set; a recorded random draw is coming soon.

Where is the money while we wait?

Contributions are paid from each member’s Safely wallet and payouts land in the recipient’s Safely wallet. Nobody in the club holds the cash, and every movement is recorded against the club.

What currency do clubs use?

US dollars. Contribution amounts, pots and payouts are all shown and settled in USD.

What happens if someone doesn’t pay?

Their contribution shows as late on the club page, where every member can see it. Automatic late fees and grace days are coming soon — until then, write your club’s agreement in the description. If a member stops paying, report it from the club page and our team will look at the full record with you.

Are there fees?

Any platform fee is shown on each payout record, next to the gross and the net amount you receive, so you always see it before and after. Wallet top-ups and withdrawals follow Safely’s pricing.

Can I join a club with people I don’t know?

You can browse clubs that are recruiting, and many organisers approve each new member. Clubs work best with people you trust — family, colleagues, a church or burial-society group — so start there if you can.

How do I invite people to my club?

Open your club and copy the invite link, or share it straight to WhatsApp. If you chose to approve members, you’ll decide on each request.

Can I leave a club?

Yes, from the club page. If you’ve already received the pot, you’re still expected to pay your remaining contributions — the other members are counting on them, and the record shows what’s owed.

Do I need a Safely account?

Your Money Club login is a Safely login, so signing up for one gives you both. Your wallet lives in Safely; your clubs live here.

I forgot my password.

Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page. We’ll email a reset link to the address on your account.
